Mission

MIDC's mission is to stimulate the general public’s awareness of international trade opportunities, providing up-to-date information to assist our members to develop strategies to timely seize these opportunities. One of the key goals of MIDC is to coordinate various business organizations, state economic and commercial agencies, bilateral chamber of commerce, trade and business associations, educational institutions might work together to integrate resources to empower New York City business community. In addition, we hope to provide a place where company executives, governmental leaders might seek guidance to develop their business or programs to meet local communities as well as international needs.

About Us

The “Manhattan International Development Corporation (MIDC)” is a not-for-profit corporation, obtaining tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code.
The MIDC will be a joint effort, with a consortium of partners contributing information, resources, services, marketing options, and funding. The partners in the MIDC Consortium have been chosen for:
- their expertise in the discipline and previous participation in international business.
- their expertise in the provision of international business information services and
- their active involvement in international and domestic networks.

Governance

MIDC is established as an independent, nonprofit
organization, governed by a board of directors. The board will have authority to approve changes in the
charter, appoint the director and an operations advisory committee, and
approve the budget for MIDC.
